i was talking to my sister amanda today and she's having a pretty terrible day...here's why. she & the kids got up this morning and while she was doing something with gwen, bigs saw a golden opportunity to test out his climbing skills and his new-found ability to open doors [baby locks do not deter]. he got into my sisters closet, managed to climb on top of a dresser and from the dresser to a high shelf where the kitty litter tray was located. he displaced the, uh, 'cat's deposits' onto the walls, floors and clothes of said closet. my sister removed him from his perch and tried, very lovingly, not to murder him. my brother-in-law works 2nd shift and was home so, my sister took the dog on a walk for about a half hour to calm down. she left bigs and gwen a snack of dried fruit & goldfish crackers to keep them occupied. when she returned she found bigs mauling several houseplants and chucking dirt like a champ, goldfish and dried fruit liberally decorating the carpet and gwen mopping the kitchen with the dog's water. the dog promptly devoured all of the goldfish crackers [dogs apparently do not like dried fruit] and then vomited it all up in the corner next to the abused houseplant [clearly, dogs like neither dried fruit or goldfish crackers]. at this point, in my mind anyway, my sister's house is filled from top to bottom with the most disgusting things ever invented. i'm not sure how my niece and nephew have survived the day unscathed but at last update they were still alive [i made a point of speaking to both of them on the phone]. i can't remember the last time i laughed so hard for so long. i'm laughing now just thinking about it
i'm sooo glad that's not my life! it made me feel great about the physics final i'm probably going to bomb tomorrow. at least physics finals don't include kitty poo, doggy vomit and muddy, dog-water floors. life is good. :)
